AC Drip Tray

A Jugaad proper solution for redirecting water dripping from AC's outdoor unit away from your clothes 


 

  1. AC Drain Tray

  2. Magnetic Attachment for Badges

  3. Loctite Epoxy Plastics Bonders

  4. 1/2" inch CPVC pipe & 2 135 degree joints from local H/W shop

  5. Aluminum Hanger 

  

Use Loctite plastics bonder to stick the badge magnet directly to drip tray. Leave out the adhesive metal sticker parts - those aren't needed. Using magnets this way makes the tray detachable leaving the AC ODU unharmed.



Attach the and position the drip tray properly over the point from where the water is dripping. Then attach the CPVC joints and pipe to divert the water away from where you don't want it to drip. Use aluminum hanger to anchor the pipe. Spray paint the pipe if you want.



Use 3M Scotch Extreme Double Sided Tape between outside wall of the drip outlet and the inside the wall of CPVC angle to stick them together

Mobile Phone/Tablet charging Power Banks can be used to power so many DIY projects. But if your project is low power and draws very little current, the power bank will auto turn off after a few seconds thinking that it isn't being used to charge gadget (because the current draw is very low). I need to figure out a way to hack one and locate and replace the current sense resistor with one of a higher value. Here is how I did it. This  told me that the resistor would be located on the return path (ground path) of the output USB connector. I promptly located the R100  SMD resistor in my iBall portable charger. Interface USB Mouse to your Arduino using CH375B

Simple TCP client server sockets application using IPv6 and IPv6

So here is a pair of programs demonstrating the use of sockets on Linux. The server program is run first. Then whenever the client program is run, it connects to the server on the specified port and they both exchange strings and terminate. TCP is used over IPv4.
